Description: Red Oxide Primer is an oil modified alkyd based primer suitably pigmented with micro fine red oxide and extenders. It is ideal for ferrous metal surfaces. It is free from heavy metals like lead, mercury and chromium.

Ideal for ferrous metal surfaces, Berger 435 - 1 Litre Berger Red Oxide Primer gives the long-lasting glossy finish to any surface it touches. It is free from heavy metals like lead, mercury and chromium. Made for interior and exterior use on ferrous metal, this Red Oxide Primer is not usually suitable for galvanized or nonferrous metals like aluminium, copper or brass. It provides an anti-corrosion coating to metal that stops rust formation. After its application, the surface will be dried within 15 minutes, and recoat can be done after 4 hours. It can be applied directly over a rusty surface. The tin pack weighs 1litre.

USP: Economic primer best for mild steel. It is free from heavy metals like lead, mercury and chromium.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE Ensure that the surface is free from dust, dirt, loose particles and moisture. One or two coats of primer can be used, depending on requirement. For best results, it is advisable to give 8-10 hrs. drying time before application of subsequent coats. Do not over-thin. Stir well before use.
Surface preparation and painting procedure: Remove grease, oil and other contaminants preferably by using Bison Degreasing Solvent. Blast clean to a minimum of Std. 21/2 Swedish standard SIS 05 5900 with a surface profile not exceeding 35-40 microns. If blasting is not practical, make full use of mechanical tools along with manual chipping and wire brushing to remove loose rust and scale to Std. 2 Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900. Excessive burnishing of steel is to be avoided. 

Consistency: It is a free flowing viscous liquid.

• Shake well before use and do not over dilute
• Strain the material through a fine sieve before use
• Keep the container tightly closed to prevent drying
• Please keep out of reach of children and away from foodstuff
• In case of contact with eyes, wash immediately with water and seek medical advice 

Special Note: Before painting the following things should be checked thoroughly:
1. Moisture content of the wall (Ideal condition -below 12%)
2. pH value of the wall surface (Ideal condition -between 7-11) If these are violated, owner will be responsible.
